Dr. james x. Liu
was born into a family that hated snakes. So in the ultimate act of defiance, he became a herpetologist. (One who studies reptiles.) Now he's a filmmaker, wildlife veterinarian and conservationist for the Turtle Conservancy.
This path has led James through deserts, rainforests, mountains, and the concrete jungle. He currently lives in New York City with several "roommates" – his tortoise R2D2, two snakes, and his trusty cameras.
He misses California dearly.
